Qatari officer certified international investigator

Doha: First Lieutenant Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, legal researcher at Legal Affairs Department of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) became the first law enforcement person to receive a certificate of international investigator in combating intellectual property crimes. The certificate is provided by International IP Crime Investigators College (IIPIC), a joint initiative of world police organisation, Interpol,  and Underwriters Laboratories (UL) University.

The certificated course, recognised by Interpol, sets international standards and provides IP crime professionals with evidence of specialist awareness and learning on the subject of transnational organised IP crime. As IP crimes are spreading across the globe, this certification will support the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in fighting this types of crimes. 

Al Sulaiti thanked the Ministry for its support and sponsorship, which made the opportunity for him to participate at Interpol learning initiative and to become the first law enforcement person to receive the certificate. 

Al Sulaiti is one of the officers sent by the Ministry of Interior to participate in specialised courses in a number of fields related with Interpol work.
