Doha: The Minister of Energy and Industry H E Dr Mohammed bin Saleh Al Sada and Minister of Public Health and Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Health (SCH) H E Abdulla bin Khalid Al Qahtani will attend the opening of the 2nd Qatar Petroleum Occupational Health (QPOH) Conference, which begins today.
Organised by QP in partnership with the SCH, the 2nd QPOH Conference is under the patronage of Dr Al Sada, and the event is supported by Qatar Shell as the platinum sponsor, Oryx GTL Limited as the gold sponsor, as well as by Qatargas Operating Company Limited and Qatar Fuel Additives Company (Qafac) as the silver sponsors. First held in March 2012, this year’s edition of the event has the theme “Innovations for a Healthy Workforce.”
Dr Al Sada will deliver the keynote address at the official opening of the event, which will be held at the Al Silia Ballroom of the Grand Hyatt Doha. The opening ceremony will be attended by senior QP officials and the top management of oil and gas companies operating in Qatar.
The conference will feature international speakers and renowned experts in the field of occupational health, and it has also attracted the participation of over 250 delegates from all over the GCC and other parts of the world. The two-day conference will have 36 presentations from renowned international speakers, 15 poster presentations, and a total of 22 parallel sessions on a wide range of topics.
