DOHA: Aspire Zone Foundation invites the whole community to participate in activities as part of the 27th International Association of Ultrarunners 100km World Championship on Friday.
Open to all for the event from 5pm to 11pm, the kids’ activity zone will feature activities to keep the fans of young athletics busy. There will also be a traditional cultural area with henna, face painting and live entertainment.
The cycling track will be closed on Thursday and Friday for the world-class marathon. This is the first time the championships are being held in Qatar and the region. Aspire Zone called on visitors to keep their weekend plans unchanged. They can head to Aspire to enjoy activities at sports facilities, including children’s playgrounds, open football pitches, paddle boats (daily from 4pm to 6pm) and remote control car race track. There are also additional initiatives launched under the ‘Life in Aspire’ campaign.
