Germany women's team topped in the 50m rifle 3 positions at the 49th CISM World Military Shooting Championship at the Losail Shooting Range.
The German team consisting of Lisa Muller, Jolyn Beer and Silvia Rachl made a total score of 1750 to win the gold medal.
Switzerland clinched the silver meal in the event with a score of 1740.
The Swiss trio of Nina Christen, Vanessa Hofstetter and Myriam Bruehwiler did their best but could not outwit the German firepower in crucial stages in the final rounds.
The Russian Federation shooters of Iuliia Karimova, Mariia Feklistova and Alena Nizkoshapskaia claimed the bronze. The nine-day event continues today. Around 700 shooters from 50 countries are taking part in the championship.
