Earthquake hits Southwest China

Beijing: An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter scale hit southwest China's Tibet Province on Saturday.

The epicenter of the quake is located at a depth of 6 kilometers near the southwestern state of Ningxia, not far from China's border with India, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or injuries.
