Qatar's embassies Abroad celebrates National Day

CANBERRA: HE Qatar's Ambassador to Australia Yousif bin Ali Al Khater has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day in a hotel in the Australian capital, Canberra.

The function was attended by a number of ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Australia, members of the diplomatic corps in Canberra, a number of senior political, economic and social figures, business men and women, leaders of Arab and Muslim communities in Australia and representatives of culture and media.

In a speech he gave on the occasion, Ambassador Al Khater highlighted the great development achievements witnessed by the state of Qatar in all fields.

NEW DELHI: HE Qatar's Ambassador to India Ahmed Ibrahim Al-Abdullah has hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

The ceremony was attended by Indian Minister of State for External Affairs of India, E. Ahmed, Secretary-General of the Arab League Dr. Nabil Al-Arabi, Indian Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr. Shashi Tharoor, Adviser to the Indian Prime Minister T. K. A. Nair and a number of heads and members of diplomatic corps accredited to India along with a large number of Indian officials, directors of companies, private sector representatives, chief editors of Indian newspapers and Indian media and community figures. 

Qatar's embassy in Switzerland celebrates National Day

BERN: HE Qatar's Ambassador to Switzerland Dr. Mubarak bin Klefekh Al Hajri held a reception ceremony to celebrate Qatar National Day in the Swiss capital of Bern.

The ceremony was attended by a group of Swiss cabinet members, parliamentarians and senior officials from the foreign ministry and other government institutions along with ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Switzerland. Chairmen of leading Swiss banks, a number of businessmen and a set of political, cultural, art, media, sports and religious figures were also present.

Ambassador Al Hajri gave a speech on the occasion, pointing to the bilateral relations between Qatar and Switzerland, which began 40 years ago. 

Qatar's embassy in Kuwait celebrates National Day

KUWAIT: Qatar Embassy in Kuwait hosted a reception on the occasion of Qatar National Day.

Qatari Ambassador to Kuwait Hamad bin Ali Al Hinzab said in remarks on the occasion that the State of Qatar.

While adopting a balanced policy in its capacity as an effective member in its regional and Arab circumference, has been committed to the international charters calling for the non-intervention in internal affairs of states and for the freedom of peoples and supportive to the human dignity.

He added that the State of Qatar has been playing its role in serving the causes of the Arab and Muslim nation, saying that was conspicuously evident in the efforts it has been making in support of long-lasting conflicts such as its efforts to find a solution to the Palestinian problem and the Darfur crisis, as well as its role in solving the Lebanese crisis, which culminated in the signing of the Doha agreement and its role in solving many issues which are still pending in the Arab and international arenas.

Ambassador Al Hinzab said the State of Qatar is a member of the GCC organization which will never disintegrate, God willing, and is working as part of a harmonious group governed by the interests of their peoples and guided by the GCC basic system which aims at achieving a comprehensive unity that match the aspirations and expectations of its peoples.

The State of Qatar maintains distinguished relations with all sister states and is working earnestly to overcome the differences in viewpoints vis-a-vis the regional developments.

And that is a natural and healthy matter that benefits the member state in holding dialogue and coming out at the end of the day with what will benefit the peoples and enhance confidence in its stances which are based on the exchange of views, Al Hinzab said. (QNA)
