Doha, Qatar: Ambassador of Vietnam to Qatar H E Nguyen Huy Hiep has said that Qatar is contributing to peaceful solutions in a number of complex regional and international conflicts.
“On the occasion of Qatar National Day, I would like to extend my warmest congratulations and best wishes to Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to the Esteemed Royal Family, the Government, and the brotherly people of the State of Qatar,” the Ambassador said in a message on Qatar National Day.
He added, “Qatar National Day is not only a celebration of the nation’s proud history and identity, but also a meaningful occasion to reflect on Qatar’s remarkable journey of development, resilience, and global engagement. Under the wise and visionary leadership of His Highness the Amir, Qatar has achieved impressive progress across economic, social, and cultural spheres, while steadily enhancing its standing and influence on the regional and international stage.”
He said that in recent years, Qatar has distinguished itself as a constructive and trusted mediator, playing a vital role in facilitating dialogue, easing tensions, and contributing to peaceful solutions in a number of complex regional and international conflicts. “Qatar’s consistent commitment to diplomacy, humanitarian values, and multilateral cooperation has made tangible contributions to peace, stability, and development, not only in the Middle East but also beyond the region. These efforts have earned Qatar well-deserved respect and appreciation from the international community.”
He further said that Qatar has also demonstrated its outstanding capacity to convene the world around meaningful global agendas. “The successful organization of major international events such as the Second World Summit for Social Development (WSSD), the Doha Forum, 11th session of the Conference of the States Parties to the UN Convention against Corruption, and high-profile sporting events including Formula 1, the Arab Cup, and the FIFA U-17 World Cup, reflects Qatar’s excellence in organization, infrastructure, and vision.”
