DOHA: Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) is organising a health fair for its employees and their families in partnership with ExxonMobil today.

Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) will provide experts in the areas of health, medicine and wellness and the Four Seasons will host the event at its West Bay hotel. Employees of the four sponsoring organisations and their families are invited to attend.

“Along with the leaders of Qatar, we recognise the importance of healthy and active residents. This event is a way for us to put our commitment to our employees’ health and well-being into action,” said Sharoq Al Malki, Chief Human Capital Officer of QMA.

“No matter what industry we are in — energy, cultural, medical or hospitality— our organisations begin and end with people.  As I’m sure is true of all the organisations partnering in this event, the safety and health of our employees are the foundations of our business,” said Bart Cahir, President and General Manager of ExxonMobil Qatar Inc.

Participants will benefit from free health checks and workshops on first aid, CPR, healthy habits, nutrition, diabetes and other topics at more than 20 booths.

“By helping local organisations host health awareness fairs, we are able to give the people the knowledge they need to lead healthier, more productive lives which ultimately contribute to the overall well-being of Qatar,” said Dr Khalid Abdulnoor Saifeldeen, Director of HMC’s International Training Centre.

“It is an honour for the Four Seasons to be able to support such an initiative. We are very much dependent on a healthy workforce, and therefore provide many support programmes and services to help our employees live healthy lives,” said Simon Casson, Regional Vice-President and General Manager of the Four Seasons Hotel.
