GCC Secretary-General visits GOIC headquarters

Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Dr Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani yesterday visited the headquarters of Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC), where he met Abdulaziz bin Hamad Al Ageel, GOIC Secretary General and discussed the activities of the Doha-based organisation.
The meeting was also attended by Dr Ali Al Mulla, GOIC Assistant Secretary General for Industrial Projects Sector, Shamlan H O Al Jeheidli, GOIC Assistant Secretary General for Industrial Information and Studies and heads of departments at GOIC.
During his visit, Dr Al Zayani got to know more about GOIC’s activities to support joint industrial endeavours in the Gulf. He also listened to a presentation on GOIC’s programmes, events and initiatives, in addition to its leading role in providing statistical data and information about the industrial sector in the GCC.
Dr Al Zayani commended their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of GCC states, for their high interest in the industrial sector in light of its importance and key role in promoting economic development in the region.   Moreover, Al Ageel reiterated GOIC’s commitment to continue to work under the umbrella of the Secretariat General of the GCC to achieve desired objectives, in accordance with the guidance of their Majesties and Highnesses, the leaders of GCC states, to strengthen joint economic ventures and promote the industrial sector to be up to the expectations of GCC nations.
He added: “His Excellency's visit paves the way for promising future cooperation and coordination in this area.”
