Doha: Students from DPS-MIS, Grade VIII got a chance to attend the live telecast of the inaugural Ceremony, held as a part of Pravasi Bharatiya Divas on 9 January 2023 at Ashoka hall, Indian cultural center.
The event was held in Indore, Madhya Pradesh and was graced by the presence of dignitaries such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President of the Republic of Suriname Chandrikapersad Santokhi and Guyana President Mohamed Irfaan Ali. Dignitaries invited the Indian diaspora to participate in nation building.
The event was a great opportunity for students from different schools to interact with each other.
The students also got a chance to interact with the Ambassador of India to Qatar, Dr. Deepak Mittal.
He addressed all the student representatives on the importance, history and responsibilities of being a Pravasi.
The event concluded by taking home the pride and a sense of responsibility of being ‘the cultural ambassadors’ of the country.
