Kabul: The Afghan authorities announced on Monday that several individuals had been killed and others wounded following a blast in the Shahr‑e Naw area of Kabul.
According to preliminary reports, the blast resulted in fatalities and injuries, and details will be published later, said Spokesperson for the Afghan Ministry of Interior Abdul Mateen Qani.
Meanwhile, Spokesperson for the Kabul Police Khalid Zadran asserted that the explosion targeted a hotel in the Shahr‑e Naw commercial neighborhood, which comprises administrative buildings, shopping compounds, and embassies.
The cause of the blast is yet to be determined, as no entity has claimed responsibility.
