DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning yesterday organised a field training for food and health inspectors.
It was part of the ministry’s course under the theme ‘Judicial Control of Food Venues’ to equip them with knowledge of methods of detection of food items, sampling, procedures and documentation of violations, and health requirements to be met by outlets.
The tour covered outlets, including restaurants, traditional restaurants, kitchens and hotels in various areas.
It was in line with a programme prepared by the ministry to improve inspectors’ efficiency. The inspectors were accompanied by Dr Helmy El Fakhrany, Food Expert, Dr Abeer Saad, Public Health Expert at the ministry and the team responsible for rehabilitation of inspectors.
