Doha: The Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Dr Khalid Mohamed Al Attiyah said there is no dispute between Doha and Cairo that requires reconciliation. “Qatar always hopes wellness and good for Egypt and its people,” he said.
The minister described the charge former Egyptian president Mohammed Mursi was spying for Qatar a ‘disaster’.
Al Attiyah was speaking to Saudi Arabian newspaper Al Sharq Al Awsat.
In another interview with Al Hayat Arabic daily based in London, Al Attiyah confirmed that the World Cup 2022 will be held in Qatar. Regarding Aljazeera, the foreign minister said it is an independent TV channel and no one is forced to watch. He said this in reference to those who are criticising the channel.
