Ek Songitachi San (A Musical evening) will be held on February 21 at the Indian Cultural Centre in Qatar, according to Rose Ferns Jr, one of the organizers of the event.
A number of artists and musicians from Goa arrived in Doha, the capital of Qatar on February 19, informed the organizers.
Norman Cardozo, Music Director from Goa, will lead the musical ensemble with Rosario Fernandes on drums and Agnelo Rodrigues, Bass Guitarist completing the musician lineup.
Around 11 actors and singers are in Qatar which includes: Richard, Brian and, Silvia Gomindes (comedians), Reagan D’souza, Rosario De Benaulim, Peviolla Dauleap Dias, Wilma Sanfra Dias, Vincy Da Costa, John Pereira, Tony De Ribandar (singers) and Saidutt Kamat (Mimicry actor)
The local cast includes singers Roseferns, John D’Sa, Luis Carvalho, Clement Fernandes and Carol D’Souza.
Coming to Qatar is UK-based Tony Goncalves, Patron of Konkani Tiatr and organizer along with Olavo Viegas, Dubai-based Konkani Tiatr organizer.
