Doha: Commercial Bank CHI Al Shaqab Presented by Longines will bring the world’s best riders to Doha, and is the perfect opportunity for Qatar’s expatriate communities to show support for athletes from their own countries.
This was the unanimous message from members of Qatar’s Spouses of Head of Missions (SOHOM) and ambassadors who visited Al Shaqab, member of Qatar Foundation, for a tour of the equestrian center yesterday. A key part of their visit was to learn more about the Commercial Bank CHI Al Shaqab Presented by Longines, Qatar’s premier equestrian competition, which takes place from 27 to 29 February at the Longines Arena at Al Shaqab, and will see top-ranking riders compete in the Olympic disciplines of showjumping, dressage, and para dressage.

CHI (Concours Hippique International – International Equestrian Competition) is the official title awarded by the Fédération Equestre Internationale (FEI) to international equestrian competitions with three or more equestrian disciplines. Commercial Bank CHI Al Shaqab Presented by Longines is one of only five CHI competitions worldwide and the first and only equestrian event of its kind in the Middle East and Asia region.
