Doha: The General Directorate of Traffic has come out with an alert saying that an image showing new traffic violations and claiming that it is from Qatar Traffic Department is fake.
On its official Twitter handle, the Traffic Department posted the fake document stating 'New Fines from Qatar Police', such as increased fines for children below 11 years old sitting in the front seat, talking on mobile while driving, listening to loud music in cars, driving in one way, smoking inside car, and more.
The Traffic Department reminds the public to obtain news and information from official sources, while the Ministry of Interior has repeatedly warned people against spreading news without verifying its authenticity.
