The Embassy of Bangladesh in Qatar recently marked the 94th birth anniversary of Bangladesh’s Father of the Nation, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, and the National Children Day of Bangladesh. The embassy organised various programmes at its premises. Messages from the president, prime minister and state minister for foreign affairs of Bangladesh were read out. In his speech, Ambassador Syed Masud Mahmood Khundoker recalled the epic role played by Sheikh Mujibur Rahman in Bangladesh’s emergence as an independent country. A drawing competition, speech completion and an essay writing event were held for children from different schools in Doha. Bangladesh MHM School and College in Doha also organised various programmes to observe the day. Seen in the picture are the ambassador and his wife with the guests at the embassy.
