DOHA: Entertainment is at the core of this year’s Qatar International Food Festival (QIFF) as organisers reveal an exciting line-up of acts during the four-day culinary event opening tomorrow at Museum of Islamic Art Park.
Doha Jazz and violinist Soledad and popular local musician Tarek Sidani will be returning to entertain the crowds.
Many new acts will be joining festivities, including multicultural, tanoura and break dancers, a short film by Doha Film Institute, a light show, light painting, pizza art, a food comic, a Carnaval show and popular characters from the children’s show, Baraem.
With positive feedback on the entertainment showcased during QIFF 2013, organisers Qatar Tourism Authority and Qatar Airways aimed to bring more exciting family-friendly acts this year.
One of the biggest draws last year is also back this year.
The Qatar Airways Cooking Theatre will feature cooking demonstrations by award-winning celebrity Chef Ramzi Choueri and local Chef Aysha Al Tamimi who specialises in Qatari cuisine.
Several chefs specialising in Brazilian, Italian and international cuisine will also give demonstrations. All will entertain the crowds with the demonstrations daily.
Also returning for the second year in a row is the Dinner in the Sky. Those wishing to add a bit of excitement and adventure to their dining experience, can enjoy a three-course meal catered by Renaissance Hotel as they take in the stunning Doha skyline from 40 metres above ground. Visitors who wish to stay a little more grounded may enjoy Dinner on a Dhow sponsored by Souq Waqif Boutique Hotels or the BBQ Donut sponsored by the Diplomatic Club.The Peninsula
