MES wins prizes in International Francophonic Week competition

MES Indian School won prizes in the Poster Making competition in connection with the International Francophonic Week under the aegis of the Embassy of France recently. The competition was open to all expatriate schools in Qatar and MES Indian School won all the three places in the intermediate category and the first place in the adult category under the theme Francophonic Au Qatar. 
Vidhya Vijayan won the first prize in the intermediate category and was awarded with one week’s stay in Paris in a French Institute Excellencia. Iniya, who won the second prize, will get the beginner’s course in French at the French Institute, Qatar and Sanjay Kandaswamya won the third prize and a free membership in the French Institute Mediatheque. 
Santhosh K, Teacher, Department of Fine Arts, won the first prize in the adult category and was awarded with the beginner’s course in French at the French Institute, Qatar.
Jean Christophe Peauchelle, French Ambassador, gave away the trophies and certificates to the winners. 
Anne Boiron, Attaché, and Regis Dantaux, Cultural Advisor, Embassy of France, were also present.
Shafi Shariff, Head, Department of French, and Beilbey P J, Head, Department of Fine Arts, coordinated the event.
