Sidra appoints new chief financial officer

DOHA: Sidra Medical and Research Center (Sidra) has appointed Tim Carmack as its Chief Financial Officer. 
Carmack brings more than 25 years of financial leadership experience in the healthcare sector to the role.
Sidra Member of the Office of the CEO and Executive Vice Chief Medical Officer, Dr Abdulla Al Kaabi, said, “We are pleased to welcome a highly experienced executive of Carmack’s calibre to this role, where he will be responsible for implementing financial plans and productivity benchmark. 
“His experience in working in a similar medical environment will be an integral addition to our leadership team as we work towards achieving our vision to be ranked among the top academic medical centres in the world.”
Carmack joins Sidra from Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford (LPCH) where he was vice-president and chief financial officer.
 LPCH is consistently rated as one of the best children’s hospitals in the US by US News and World Report. It specialises in the care of babies, children, adolescents and expectant mothers and is part of Stanford University Medical Center. 
Carmack has been chief financial officer at Huntington Memorial Hospital (Pasadena); Good Samaritan Hospital (Los Angeles); and Anaheim Memorial Medical Centre.
