Ezdan Mall-Gharrafa marks second anniversary

Ahmet Demirok, Turkish Ambassador; Salah Salhi, Tunisian Ambassador, and Nurmakhmad Kholov, Russian Ambassador; Ezdan Holding’s Group CEO, Ali Al Obaidly and other guests at a gala dinner hosted by Ezdan Mall to mark the second anniversary.

DOHA: Ezdan Mall, a subsidiary of Ezdan Holding Group, recently celebrated the second anniversary of its first mall located in Gharrafa area, which opened its doors on April 15, 2013. 
The event was attended by scores of guests and dignitaries, including Ahmet Demirok, Turkish Ambassador; Salah Salhi, Tunisian Ambassador, and Nurmakhmad Kholov, Russian Ambassador. Present were Ali Al Obaidly, Group CEO of Ezdan Holding, and Hasib Kayali General Manager at Ezdan Hotels. 
Among the retailers who attended the gala dinner were Pari Gallery General Manager, Salman Abdulrahim, owner of Armada Group, Ahmed Islamil Al Tahhan, Hashem Al Hashemi, Al Jazeera Perfumes owner, and Dr Shaikh Ayadh Al Qahtani from RAF Charity. 
Ezdan Shopping Mall’s General Manager, Malik Qaiser, expressed his gratitude to the guests.  
Qaiser said: “Our focus as a new and upcoming shopping destination was to target families of locals and expatriates. We put greater focus on the social atmosphere, high-end services, as well as introduced brands that did not yet exist in Qatar with more than 50 brands for the first time in Qatar. We pride ourselves in listening to all guest requests and taking action accordingly.
“Ezdan Mall’s retailers reported double digits growth from 2013 to 2014 and achieved high sales density up to $1,000 (QR3,641) in some of its brands such as Charles & Keith and US Polo while succeeding to get high number in its transaction value. The well time spend in Ezdan Mall reaches 90 minutes which indicates the unique shopping experience we are offering our guests that differentiate us from any other mall” added Qaiser.
Armada Group received the ‘Best Retail Group Award’ and RIVA store from Armada received the ‘Best Retail Brand’ for overall performance, while Charles & Keith by Apparel Group received the ‘Best Retail Brand’ in the Footwear category, Choice from Armada received the ‘Best Retail Brand in Womenwear, Monsoon Kids in Childrenwear, US Polo in Unisex, Popeye’s in Fast-food, Tim Horton’s in Coffee Shops category, MADO from Turkey in the Restaurants category, as for entertainment it goes to Funville that achieved not only best Ezdan Mall but also ranked number one store among 37 branches in the GCC.
For the ‘Best Performing Anchor Stores’ Pari Gallery and Sharaf DG won accolades. 
Special awards were given to the best community initiatives, Dr Shiakh Ayadh Al Qahtani received on behalf of RAF charity for best Islamic initiative. Ibrahim Fakhroo received an award for his Raswalana Mohammed exhibition for the Best Islamic Educational initiative and last but not least Pakistan Welfare Forum received an award for Best Educational initiative.
