Health centres say ‘thank you’ to nurses

DOHA: Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) marked the Nursing Day in most of its Health Centers during last week to mark the important role played by nurses in the healthcare service. 

Mesaimeer Health Center organised a ceremony to show appreciation to its nurses for the great work they do daily for the community, and the irreplaceable support to their patients. 

The International Nursing Day is held in commemoration of Florence Nightingale, a nurse and founder of modern nursing. This event is widely celebrated around the world. Hajer Mohammed, Mesaimeer Staff Nurse said: “This celebration is confirmation of the amazing work that our nurses do and how they express their pride in their profession.” 

Other PHCC health centres such as Umm Ghwalina, Airport, Al Kaaban and Madinat Khalifa thanked their nursing teams for the work they have done during the past years and the significant role they play in the improvement of healthcare system in the State of Qatar through Primary Health Care Corporation.
