RIYADH: Committee of specialists from the legislation departments in GCC states will hold its fifth meeting at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat in Riyadh next Sunday and Monday.
The committee, which comprises an elite of GCC specialists in the legislative and legal fields, will complete study on the preparation of a strategy for work of the permanent committee of officials in charge of legislative and legal departments in GCC states for the coming three years (2014-2015-2016).
The strategy will involve a number of programmes which aims to achieve a number of objectives within the competence of the standing committee, and to identify the bodies that will implement those programmes.
The strategic plan is expected to be approved during the seventh meeting of the standing committee, slated for Bahrain later this year.(QNA)
