DOHA: The Pakistan embassy will hold Open House on June 21 to discuss issues concerning the Pakistani community. The event will take place at 7pm at the Pakistan Education Centre, embassy officials said. This is the first time the embassy is holding Open House to provide community members with a platform to discuss their concerns.
Minister hosts farewell party for envoys
Doha: The Assistant Foreign Minister Ali bin Fahd Al Hajri yesterday hosted a farewell party at the Diplomatic Club for the outgoing ambassadors Cornelis Johannes Groeneveld (the Netherlands) and Michael O’Neill (the UK). The function was attended by the Director of the Protocols Department, Ibrahim Youssuf Fakhro, heads of diplomatic missions and offices accredited to Qatar and several department directors at the Foreign Ministry.

Doha: The Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces H E Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah yesterday met Mali’s Minister of Defence and Veterans General Yamoussa Camara in Doha. Discussions covered military cooperation. The meeting was attended by senior officers of the armed forces.
Qatar and Egypt review legal ties
Doha: The Attorney General H E Dr Ali bin Fetais Al Marri met Egypt’s Assistant Attorney General Hassan Yassin Hassan in Doha yesterday. They exchanged views on issues, including funds looted from Arab Spring countries, ways to boost judicial and legal cooperation, cooperation and exchange of expertise and training.
