Doha: Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater met yesterday with Special Envoy of the Italy for Afghanistan H E Gianfranco Petruzzella and Ambassador of Italy to Afghanistan H E Natalia Quintavalle.
During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in Afghanistan and ways to strengthen cooperation in the fields of health and education. Ambassador of Italy to the State of Qatar H E Paolo Toschi attended the meeting.
The Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also met Deputy Secretary, International Security, Legal and Consular Group, in the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade H E Craig Maclachlan.
The meeting discussed the latest developments in Sudan, Afghanistan and the region, in addition to discussing ways of joint cooperation in development projects, security and sports.
During the meeting, Maclachlan congratulated the State of Qatar on its success in organizing the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
