Bürgenstock Resort (Switzerland): Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met on Friday in Bürgenstock Resort, Switzerland, with HE Ignazio Cassis, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation.
During the meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations and ways to support and strengthen them, and discussed the latest regional developments, particularly the diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region, following the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs affirmed, during the meeting, the State of Qatar’s full support for the commencement of negotiations between the American and Iranian sides to reach sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, thereby strengthening regional security, contributing to opening new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and achieving the common interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
