Riyadh: The Saudi Cabinet condemned in the strongest terms the statements made by the Israeli Prime Minister regarding the so-called "Greater Israel Vision," reiterating its total rejection of the occupation authorities' settlement and expansionist ideas and projects.
In its session held on Tuesday, chaired by HRH Prince Crown Prince nad Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Cabinet underlined the historical and legal right of the Palestinian people to establish their independent, sovereign state on their lands, based on relevant international laws.
Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed, Minister of State, Member of the Saudi Cabinet for Shura Council Affairs, and Acting Minister of Media, stated after the session that the Cabinet strongly condemned the Israeli occupation authorities' approval of the construction of settlements around occupied Jerusalem.
He affirmed Saudi Arabia's call on the international community, especially the permanent members of the Security Council, to take immediate measures to compel the occupation authorities to halt their crimes against the Palestinian people and their occupied land and to comply with UN resolutions.
He also noted that the Cabinet affirmed Saudi Arabia's support for all diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving the Russian-Ukrainian crisis through peaceful means and achieving peace between the two countries.
In this context, the Cabinet welcomed the two summits held by US President Donald Trump with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, and with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and leaders of European countries
