Doha, Qatar: The Zakat Affairs Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs participated via video conference in the 18th meeting of the Committee of Specialists from Zakat Authorities in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The meeting was held as part of efforts to strengthen cooperation and coordination among zakat institutions across the GCC, exchange institutional experiences and best practices, and explore joint initiatives aimed at developing zakat services. Discussions also focused on keeping pace with digital transformation and improving the quality of services provided to zakat payers and beneficiaries.

Participants discussed several items on the meeting’s agenda, particularly projects aimed at creating a shared knowledge environment among GCC zakat authorities, facilitating the exchange of expertise and successful practices, and supporting institutional development and innovation.

The initiatives are intended to enhance operational efficiency and further develop the zakat system across GCC countries.
