Emir endorses Cabinet decisions

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday endorsed the Cabinet decisions No. 35, 36 and 37 of 2013 on applicability of the provisions of the law No. 24 of 2000 concerning retirement and pensions of Qatari nationals working with Innovation Capital Qatar and the Qatari nationals working with Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development, and the Qatari nationals working with Meeza QSTP company. These decisions provide for being operative and effective as from the date of issuance and are to be published in the official gazette.

Emiri decree  approves deal  

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued Decree No. 45 of 2013 endorsing the air transport agreement between the governments of Qatar and Slovenia and which was signed in Doha on February 1, 2011 and to have the power of law as per Article 68 of the Constitution.

The Emir also issued Decree No. 46 of 2013 ratifying the memorandum of understanding concerning the economic and investment partnership for cooperation between the governments of Qatar and Oman signed in Muscat on December 15, 2011 and to have the power of law as per Article 68 of the Constitution. The two decrees provide for being implemented and be operative as of the date of issuance and are to be published in the official gazette.

Emir issues ratification instruments  

Doha: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday issued ratification instrument approving a draft agreement between Qatar and Hong Kong Special Administrative Regions of the People’s Republic of China on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes and the attached draft protocol.

The Emir also issued the ratification instrument approving a draft bilateral agreement on reciprocal administrative assistance for the optimal application of the customs law and the prevention, follow-up and combating customs violations between the governments of Qatar and Jordan and which was signed in Doha.

The Emir issued the ratification instrument approving an agreement between the governments of Qatar and Ethiopia on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to income taxes and which was signed in Addis Ababa. 

The Emir issued the ratification instrument approving a draft agreement on encouragement and reciprocal protection of investments between the governments of Qatar and Ethiopia and which was signed in Addis Ababa.
