MANAMA: The GCC ministers of municipality are to start their 17th meeting here on Thursday in completion to the meeting of the senior officials in charge of municipalities held here earlier Monday.
During their meeting, the GCC ministers of municipalities are to discuss all municipal proposals and try to put into force the municipality related recommendations in the GCC member states for achieving an integrated municipal mechanism.
The agenda of the 17th meeting also includes a review of progress made so far in service facilities' development on highways.
The adoption by the GCC Supreme Council at its previous session held in Bahrain in December 2012 of the guide book of criteria for the development of service facilities on highways.
The progress achieved so far in the field of municipal information databases, and accomplishments made in the field of municipal information rules and city beautification.
They will also discuss what has been accomplished in the field of urban planning and the action plan prepared through the joint workshop with the United Nations program for Human Settlements 2013 and the proposed budget. (QNA)
