DOHA: Qatar Industrial Manufacturing Company (QIMC) has signed a contract with Hill International Company to design its new headquarters estimated at QR500 million.

QIMC Chief Executive Officer Abdul Rahman Al Ansari and Hill International CEO Mohammed Al Rayes signed the contract early this week in the presence of senior officials, according to a Qatar Exchange notification Thursday.

"As per the contract we will start the design phase and secure the required permits to build a multi-purposes tower of 25 to 30 floors on the current building land," said Al Ansari.

The tower will be a distinctive landmark at the Corniche and this contract will pave the way for further cooperation between QIMC and Hill International in the future.

"We are delighted to be working with QIMC to manage this important phase of the project, and we will use our international experience and our local know how to complete the design and licensing phases optimally and within the agreed deadlines," said Al Rayes.

QIMC, founded in 1990, is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange.

It is the leading manufacturing company in the Small and Medium size Enterprises in Qatar. (QNA)
