BUCHAREST: A jet of the Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili, who visited Bucharest to take part in a congress of the European People’s Party, had to make an emergency landing at the Bucharest international airport shortly after takeoff due to onboard equipment problems, Itar-Tass reported.

According to the Russian news agency, the jet is in a normal condition and the airport’s technicians have not found any defects, although the crew requested a landing right after takeoff.
