DOHA: Al Sailiyah defeated Al Kharaitiyat 2-1 while former two-time champions Lekhwiya trounced Muaither 5-1 in the Qatar Stars League (QSL) matches here yesterday.
In the other two matches yesterday, Eljaish rallied from behind to hold Al Wakra 1-1 in round five action, while Al Ahli trounced Umm Salal 3-1.
For Al Ahli, it was their first win, after two loss and an equal number of draws.
Thye now have five points from an equal number of matches.
Al Wakra and Al Sailiyah both have a tally of 11 points from five matches with three wins each.
Eljaish, on the other hand, have now nine points from five matches.
Lekhwiya, with yesterday’s huge win, now have eight points from five matches.
Muaither, QSL’s new entrant, with yesterday’s defeat have four points from five matches.
Al Kharaitiyat, the other team to lose their match yesterday also have four from five matches
The fifth round will continue today with defending champions Al Sadd playing Qatar SC who are in third spot on the points table. Also today, Al Arabi battle Al Khor while Al Rayyan take on Al Gharafa.
