To create awareness about healthy food and dietary habits Shantiniketan Indian School (SIS) KG & Primary Wing organised a foodfest recently. Information corners, placards and display boards emphasized the importance of nutritious food and healthy food habits. Role play and Group Songs on Salads, cooking without fire, formed the focal carried the message of “Healthy Heart, Healthy Body”. Food outlets with a variety of homemade delicious dishes tempted and attracted each and everyone.
Commentators from the KG and Primary section, through inspirational speeches, tableau, and quotes highlighted the harmful effects of junk food, world food problems and solidarity in the struggle against hunger, malnutrition and poverty.
Principal Dr Subhash Nair, Vice-Principal Shihabudeen and Mehjabeen Hasan congratulated the students and teachers for their participation.
