William Khala (pictured) has been appointed as the Chef de Cuisine of Ritz-Carlton’s La Mer restaurant. Chef Khala’s culinary journey started when he joined the Gorge Brown College in Toronto, later graduating with a degree in culinary management.
Chef Khala was awarded first place at the Jeunes Chefs Rôtisseurs Competition in 2005 and 2006, a cooking competition for young chefs under the age of 27 held by the prestigious international gastronomy association Chaine des Rotisseurs. “We are thrilled and honored to welcome William Khala as our new Chef de Cusine at the La Mer Restaurant. We are confident that Chef Khala’s presence at La Mer will be an addition and asset to our property as well as the growing culinary scene of the city of Doha,” said Executive Chef Gael Cruchet.
“I am excited to bring my passion to a different part of the world and look forward to introducing visitors to a style of cooking that will pique their palate, enliven their senses and leave them with a memorable dining experience” says newly appointed La Mer Restaurant Chef de Cuisine, William Khala.
