DOHA: The Ministry of Environment and Public Works Authority (Ashghal) have announced that the Qatar Construction Specifications (QCS) conference will hold on November 16.
The conference will be associated with launch of new edition compiling the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) code and QCS code 2014.
The conference will be addressed by the Minister of Environment H E Ahmed Mohamed Al Humaidi and Dr Mohammed bin Saif Al Kuwari, assistant undersecretary for laboratory and standards at the Ministry of Environment.
The one-day conference will be attended by a number of experts, consultants, engineers, contractors and project managers from the government and private sector. It will discuss implementation of the QCS 2014 by construction companies since last May.
The feedback on the QCS 2014 will be considered in the preparation of the sixth edition of QCS which will be launched in 2016. The conference will also include two sessions about concrete and road construction. The organisers of the conference have launched the website www.qcs2015.com for receiving queries and feed backs from companies, engineers, consultants and other interested people.
