Britain's Prime Minister Rishi Sunak on Thursday pressed Israel to let more humanitarian aid into Gaza as he stepped up a campaign by Western leaders to reinforce support for Israel.
Sunak told Israeli President Herzog that it was important to provide humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza.
“Palestinians are victims of what Hamas has done. It’s important that we continue to provide humanitarian access,” Sunak said.
His comment came after pledging full support to Israel to “defend yourself, to bring security back to your country to your people, to ensure the safe return of the hostages that have been taken”.
