Cairo: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi announced that Egypt will host an international conference in November to support the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip.
In remarks on Sunday, President El-Sisi tasked Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly with coordinating with civil society organizations and relevant state bodies to establish a national mechanism for collecting citizen contributions and donations to fund Gaza reconstruction efforts.
The Egyptian President reviewed his country's intensive efforts over the past two years to halt the war in Gaza, facilitate humanitarian aid, secure the release of detainees and prisoners, culminating in the signing of a ceasefire agreement during this month's summit in Sharm El-Sheikh.
