DOHA: HE the Minister of Culture, Arts and Heritage Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz al-Kuwari met Monday with President of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions (IFLA) Ingrid Parent, currently visiting Doha to take part in the 23rd annual conference of the Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI), which Doha hosts from November 18 to 20.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on the prospects of cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture, Arts and Heritage and the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions.
The IFLA President expressed thanks to the State of Qatar for hosting the conference and for the good organization. She also expressed admiration for the great development witnessed by the country in various fields, particularly the knowledge domain. (QNA)
