Qatar, Gambia ink agreements

The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Gambian President Yahya Jammeh witness the signing of agreements between Qatar and Gambia at the Emiri Diwan yesterday.


DOHA: Qatar and Gambia yesterday held official talks co-chaired by the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and Gambian President Yahya Jammeh.
The talks at the Emiri Diwan focused on bilateral relations and ways of enhancing them, in addition to issues of mutual concern.
Deputy Emir H H Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, a number of Qatari ministers and members of the official delegation accompanying President Jammeh attended the talks.
Later, the two countries signed agreements on avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with regard to income tax, and on air services.
The Emir hosted a luncheon banquet in honour of the Gambian president and his delegation.
