Doha: Qatargas has organised blood donation camps at its offices in Doha and Ras Laffan in cooperation with Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) with 100 employees and contractor personnel donating blood. A mobile blood donation unit arrived from HMC with a team of professionals who were assisted by Qatargas Medical Center staff.
As part of its corporate social responsibility initiatives, Qatargas has been organising such campaigns at its premises for over 14 years, in cooperation with HMC. Every year, the company holds four campaigns — two in Doha and two in Ras Laffan. In addition to helping the Blood Bank increase its supply of blood and its components, Qatargas believes that such campaigns also help spread awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation.
