Doha, Qatar: The General Directorate of Endowments at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has announced the receipt of a new investment endowment worth QR100,000, generously offered by a Qatari benefactor.
The proceeds of this endowment will be allocated to the Mosque Services Endowment Fund, under the supervision of the General Directorate of Endowments and in accordance with an officially documented endowment deed that preserves the donor’s conditions and ensures the proper investment of its returns.
This latest contribution strengthens the national portfolio of developmental endowments and reflects a growing awareness of the importance of supporting projects dedicated to mosque services. These initiatives are monitored by specialized departments to ensure transparency, sustainability, and optimal use of funds.
According to the Directorate’s records, the donor has previously made endowment contributions, highlighting his ongoing commitment to charitable giving and his pursuit of lasting rewards.
On this occasion, Ghanem Abdul Latif Al-Rumaihi, Head of Marketing at the Section of Endowment Funds, emphasised that the Mosque Services Endowment Fund is rooted in the Quranic principle. These values, he noted, inspire many generous citizens to dedicate endowments to supporting mosques.
Al-Rumaihi explained that the endowment fund is dedicated to all matters related to mosques, including construction, maintenance, and care, along with contributing to training programs aimed at enhancing the capabilities of imams and strengthening the social and spiritual role of the mosque.
He added that the fund’s objectives extend beyond physical upkeep, reaching all aspects that revive the mosque’s message within the community. The General Directorate of Endowments offers donors a variety of endowment options, allowing each benefactor to select the field or cause that aligns with their wishes.
