DOHA: The Advisory Council held today its weekly regular session under its Deputy Speaker Issa bin Rabiah Al Kuwari.
At the outset of the meeting the agenda was read out and approved. Later the Council endorsed minutes of its previous session.
The Council took note of a memorandum by the Cabinet General Secretariat on a recommendation by the Advisory Council on the unification of the start date of the scholastic year and vacations of schools and Qatar University.
Advisory Council Speaker returns to Doha after participation in AIPU in Kuwait
HE Speaker of the Advisory Council Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi and his accompanying delegation returned to Doha from Kuwait on Monday, after participating in the 20th Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union (AIPU).
The Union's two-day schedule which concluded there earlier today included discussing the reports of the Secretary-General regarding the Union's activity. Also, it included ratifying its agreement regarding choosing Al Quds as a capital to the State of Palestine.
A number of officials at the Advisory Council met the delegation upon its arrival at the Doha International Airport. (QNA)
