10th batch graduates from military college

Doha: The Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College yesterday presented certificates to the graduates of the 10th batch of officer cadets and military sciences diplomas to university graduates.
The ceremony was attended by the Minister of State for Defence Affairs H E Major General Hamad bin Ali Al Attiyah, and Qatar Armed Forces Chief of Staff Major General (Pilot) Ghanim bin Shaheen Al Ghanim, who presented certificates to the graduates.
Several armed forces officers and parents were present.
In a statement, the Minister congratulated the graduates and their families from Qatar and friendly states and wished them success in their careers and in the service to their countries.
“Under directives of the Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to invest in education, we in the Armed Forces are in constant evolution and intend to establish a maritime college and a technical college.
“We are looking forward to seeing these colleges in the near future.”
 The four-year course was held for 92 officer cadets.
The college’s military section teaches military and police sciences, parachuting and thunderbolt, among others and the academic section teaches disciplines, including business administration, law, accounting and information systems.
The university graduate course was held for nine students for nearly one year and they obtained the diploma in military science.
The Commander of the college, Brig. Hamad Ahmed Al Nuaimi, presented commemoration gifts to the Minister and the chief of staff.
