SYDNEY--Keisuke Honda and Shinji Kagawa scored for Japan as the defending champions reached the Asian Cup quarter-finals with a 2-0 win over Jordan on Tuesday.
The four-time winners were joined by 2007 champions Iraq, who downed debutants Palestine also 2-0, led by a goal from Younis Mahmoud, the hero of their Asian Cup victory eight years ago.
