DOHA: The Ministry of Municipality and Urban Planning has launched a week-long training programme for its inspectors monitoring encroachments of public properties.
The programme includes lectures on judicial powers granted to the inspectors to curb encroachments.
The participants were briefed on how to catch violations and complete paper work.
They have also been educated on liabilities and inspection talent.
They are being taught the law No. 10 of 187 regarding public and private properties, and rules for reconciliation in case of violations.
Trainees have been given practical lessons by taking them to field visits to show them encroachments, how to catch violations, and deal with violators.
