DOHA: Qatar Exchange pursued its upswing trend on Thursday adding 49.62 points or 0.42 percent to advance to 11,872.40 points from 11,822.78 on Wednesday.
The volume of the shares traded fell to 18,980,644 from 20,519,342 on Wednesday and the value of shares decreased to QR764,303,752.41 from QR955,557,820.98 Wednesday.
Among the top gainers were Qatar National Bank which was up 1.30 percent to QR195.00, Industries Qatar gained 0.15 percent to QR194.00, Electricity and Water added 0.94 percent to QR193.90 and Vodafone Qatar up by 0.56 percent to QR12.46.
The Banking and Financial sector index was added 0.83 points while Consumer Goods and Services sector index up 2.10 points.
The industrial sector was rose 0.37 points while insurance sector gained 1.41 points. (QNA)
