Emir hails Qatar-Japan ties

Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday arrived in Tokyo on an official visit to Japan. He and his delegation were welcomed at Tokyo International Airport by Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kentaro Sonoura, Qatari Ambassador to Japan Yousuf Mohamed Bilal, Japanese Ambassador to Qatar Shingo Tsuda, ambassadors of Arab countries and Qatari embassy officials. 

Tokyo: The Emir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani arrived in Tokyo yesterday on an official visit to Japan.
The Emir and his delegation were greeted on arrival at Tokyo International Airport by Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs, Kentaro Sonoura, other Japanese officials, Qatar’s Ambassador to Japan, Yousuf Mohamed Bilal, and Japan’s Ambassador to Qatar, Shingo Tsuda.
Also present were a number of ambassadors of Arab countries in Japan and staff from the Qatari embassy.
In a statement, the Emir expressed his sincere greetings and those of the people of Qatar to Emperor Akihito, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and the Japanese people, wishing them all the best of health and happiness and further progress and prosperity for their country.
He also expressed his deep satisfaction at the friendly and cooperation relations between Qatar and Japan, which are growing in all areas, especially in the economic field.
“I am confident that this visit would contribute to enhancing the strong bilateral relations between our two countries and expanding the scope of cooperation between them for the good and benefit of our two peoples”, he added.
