Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, the exclusive agent for Nissan in Qatar, have confirmed the 2017 sponsorship and support to Adel Hussein, the 2016 Rally World Champion for T2, for the second successive season.
The official signing ceremony event was held at Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co head office in the presence of local media.
Adel and his Nissan Patrol XE will be participating in a total of 11 T2 World Rally Championship events around the world and in the four regional championships.
Adel entered the 2016 T2 Rally season with the single aim of winning the World Championship and through perseverance and hard work he was crowned champion.
Hisham Saleh Al Mana, Chairman and Managing Director of Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co, said: “It is great to be part of a winning team and a pleasure to know that our contribution to Adel and his QX Rally Team in 2016 resulted in winning the World Championship. We are strong supporters for talented and ambitious Qataris whose quest is to achieve the best in what they do. Adel has proven that nothing is impossible.”
Adel, the World Rally Champion, said: “Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co is one of the major players in the local market. The support of Hisham Saleh Al Mana and his team throughout 2016 played a major role in winning the world championship."
"My team and me are very pleased to continue this close working partnership for the 2017 season where we again are aiming to win the championship for the second time. Last year winning could not have been achieved without the support of the sponsors QMMF, Nissan and Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co,” he added.
Al Mana added: "As a part of Adel’s Brand Ambassador role for Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana and using his experience gained in the Ministry of Interior, plans are being made to promote safe driving and seat belt campaigns throughout Qatar."
He further added: "All this is part of Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co vision to develop Corporate and Social Responsibility activities that benefit the local communities. Adel, being a hero figure to safe driving and seat belt campaign will re-enforce the direction of Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana Co. to be part of the Qatar’s 2030 vision for supporting sports activities."
Al Mana also wished Adel success in the new season.

"Adel and the team at Saleh Al Hamad Al Mana will work closely together to deliver important safety messages and lectures in schools and universities promoting the same.
"Finally, I look forward to celebrating a very successful 2017 with Adel and the team later this year," Al Mana said.
