Doha: The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani met at his Amiri Diwan office on Monday morning with Senator from Kansas State in the friendly United States of America HE Dr. Roger Marshall, on the occasion of his visit to the country.
During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations of friendship and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments.
HE Dr. Roger Marshall, handed to HH the Amir the US Senates decision, which included the Senate thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar for its efforts and decisive role in helping the United States to evacuate thousands of people from its citizens and permanent legal residents and Afghans at risk and their families from Afghanistan, as well as Qatar's pivotal role in harboring thousands of people who were evacuated.
For his part, HH the Amir thanked the Senate for this decision, reaffirming Qatar's permanent position in supporting international humanitarian work and making all efforts to bring peace in the region and the world.
